What will our kids grow up to become? Is there anything more exciting?

Sure, I guess so, but as a parent, it’s central to our “existence” as a mother or father. As a non parent, you might think, “Geez, don’t you have your own life?” Yes, I do, of course, but as little as I thought this would ever happen, these little people, these beings who are related to you, who would not exist if it weren’t for you, have futures and they are unknown. Their futures are blank, empty, malleable, and wide open. Is there anything more exciting? A wide open path forward?

Will the shot below be one of her first? Will it be in her glamorous show? Will it be nothing? Maybe she’ll become a tax attorney. Maybe a teacher. Who knows. I don’t. She doesn’t. No one does. Fun, huh?
