I don’t know what’s going to happen next.

I don’t know what’s going to happen next.

I’m in a world I created and I don’t know what’s going to happen.

This isn’t about the news — we haven’t been watching or reading for the past few weeks. It’s funny, when you don’t watch the news, you just think things are going fine in the world.

It’s not even about our vacation. Although I don’t really know what’s going to happen next there either.

It’s about my story. It’s about Charlie Holiday and what’s going to happen next in the story. He just got a note from a messenger of sorts and I don’t know what it says. A few words were revealed, but the full reveal will have to come in the next chapter. At least I think it should. I mean, I’d like to know, too!

It’s also 10 PM and I should know myself. Wait, I do. Let’s just wait until morning.

I suppose that’s the solution. I’m not going to make any progress at night. It’s late, we were out the entire day and we’ll be out for an even longer day tomorrow.

The scenes usually come to me in the morning. Usually during or after meditation. So that’s where this will be.

But I think I’m also a little nervous because I think this might be a turning point in how the story evolves. I think the message is going to be a sort of mission that he is supposed to carry out and the type of mission could lead the book in a certain direction. In other words, is it something action related or dangerous? More like a spy story or a police case? Does he help people? If so, in what way? Will he need his new found magical powers and if so, how does he even know how to use them and/or what they even are?

That’s where I am.

Geckos are crawling the walls around me. I think I feel some mosquitos. Last night I saw a huge bat that few right near me. Maybe there’s part of the story in there.

There’s flooding in northern Thailand, but not so close to where we are. Some guy with an Italian-sounding name lasted ten days in the US White House administration. I think Apple has a new phone. All of that is just noise. I have real issues to think about: what’s Charlie Holiday going to do next?

I don't like to call them excuses. They're priorities. With a handful of exceptions, we usually have a choice in our actions. They just need to be prioritized.
