That’s what makes a life.

That’s what makes a life.

A comment on a post reminds me that all of the little things make up the big thing.

I just hit 300 Posts in 300 Days, but it took a comment from Lone Morch to remind me that all of those little events make up a big event–or even life.

I’ve just been plugging away, writing every day, but I haven’t had much time to step back and see the bigger picture lately. Busy with travel, kids, work, summer. But all of the small actions, events and even posts, are the tiny dots in what become the full painting. You have to step back to see it. I’m completely guilty on a regular basis of just plowing ahead, not taking a step back and then at some point you do take that step back and you see where you are, where you ended up. You can then choose to move along, keep going where you were going or to detour. Or maybe even turn around. But you do need to stop sometimes and see how it’s going.

Thanks for reminding me that I’m “making this life” Lone, one day at a time. Looking forward to seeing what you’re up to in your near–and distant–future.
