How to put out a fire in Istanbul.

How to put out a fire in Istanbul.

Disclaimer: I don’t speak Turkish. Double disclaimer: I don’t even know if this is Turkish, but hey, it was in Turkey.

In case you’re in Istanbul, you might want to print this out in case of fire.

  1. Stand up straight and spray extinguisher onto fire.
  2. Keep doing #1. Not sure why we need a #2 if it’s the same as number 1. Maybe they wanted to make sure to have several steps to show that it’s more complicated than it seems.
  3. Bend your knees a bit and lean into the fire. I don’t know, this sounds like you’re getting closer to the fire. I suppose this is a good strategy if the fire is getting smaller.
  4. Keep doing #3. See note at #2 about continuing to do #1.

Still, it looks like it’s working as the fire is smaller in graphics #3 and #4. But then again, it’s also not actually out. Maybe it’s only the instructions on how to make a fire smaller, not actually extinguish it. That takes 10 steps … with 5 diagrams.
