What if you had to create your book cover before your book?
There’s a chance you’d never write the book.
There’s another chance the book will spring to life–and become even better.
Because you had to “sell” it first.
Even “sell” it to yourself.
I learn by doing. (In case you don’t know me well and need proof: Start, Keep Going, Lucky to Have Started).
Clearly, I have no problem with doing, creating, and hitting publish. If I ever had that fear, it’s so long ago I can’t even remember it.
While I was consciously planning this weekend trip to begin the next installment in the Charlie Holiday series, apparently my subconscious had other plans.
I couldn’t not write this post yesterday. As much as I wanted to give Charlie a little fun, Decide came to life.
It was one of those ideas that overtook me. Even this morning, I had a full 5-part table of contents in my mind. Then I had a cover.
Based on my table of contents and my cover, my current thought is: start writing.
What your thoughts after you create the table of contents and your book cover before you write your next book?
