Counting Christmas Trees
It’s early January and the trees are coming out of the houses and onto the sidewalk. So how many are there?
My boys are 7 and 10. They both still hold my hand when we walk to school. It’s guaranteed that this won’t last. I need to enjoy it while it does.
I try to do something different everyday so that we have something to count or do or watch out for or notice. It’s trash day and there are Christmas trees on the sidewalks waiting to be hauled away. I actually find it sad that the holidays are over and this is something of the aftermath, but hey, we can look forward to … Presidents’ Day? 😉
The kids got into it and there were more than I thought. It kept us busy and we were in school in no time–even ready for the walk home to continue counting. This morning we got up to 27!
