Now that MailChimp offers free automation, how does it compare to MailerLite?

One of the main reasons I chose MailerLite over MailChimp was because automation was free.

Now what?

MailChimp recently announced that its automation tools (auto responders and timed email sequences) are now free. But that made the decision to use MailerLite so easy! Now are we going to have to go back to the drawing board to compare features?

Both tools are easy to use (even fun!). Both have similar pricing and both get pricey as your list grows. MailChimp has certainly been around much longer–but maybe that’s not always an upside?
