Trust

Together with respect, what else do you really need?

Whether it’s a politician, a girlfriend or your handyman, it’s what you’re truly looking for.

I’ll do another post on respect and compare how trust and respect are related and intertwined.

If it’s going to take the handyman four hours to put silicone caulking on the stairs and he explains why and it seems reasonable, that’s it. I just want to know that it’s reasonable, but if I trust him then there’s nothing left to guesswork.

If there’s trust, then there’s nothing left to question. If there’s trust, then you’re done, you’re ready, you can move on.
