So if time is flying, are we having fun?

So if time is flying, are we having fun?

When does time stand still for you? When does it fly?

Take note.

It’s probably because I’m supposed to be recategorizing my tax classifications, but I did need to fix a broken website I run. I just needed to redo the home page because I switched themes and all of the customizations from the old theme were gonzo. No worries, this is actually fun stuff (well, for me anyway).

But wait a minute. This is fun? I’m having fun? Time is flying? Does that mean I’m enjoying this? Take note: what am I doing and why don’t I do more of it? Am I good at it by chance? Might other people want me to do something like this for them? Or is it just enjoying mindless first-person shooter games and no one is going to pay me (unless I reach the high score of 3,029,293,987).

When does time fly?

Time flies when you have no sense of it. You’re in the present moment and that present moment is about as close to timelessness that we’re going to get. Take notice of these moments. Try to do more of them.

When does time stand still?

When are you looking at the clock? When does the clock even seem broken? What are you doing when you’re pretty sure you just spent 3 hours doing something and it turns out it was 3 minutes?

Granted, we have to occasionally reclassify taxable income. But when are we flying? Soaring? Floating? Dreaming? Living?

If time is flying, does that mean we’re having fun? Having fun writing cheesy sales copy for my Google Apps for Email services. [Likoma]

It was probably a good idea at some point. Is your branding not turning out quite like you had dreamed?
