Do the Dutch read books on e-readers?

Do the Dutch read books on e-readers?

There are thriving bookstores here in The Netherlands. With real books and real people.

How are we writers supposed to enter the digital book market if there isn’t a digital book market to begin with?

But of course it must be coming because digital is taking over everything, right? So we have to market our books in Holland for the future of the digital book market regardless of whether or not they think it’s coming because we know it’s coming.

There are several new e-readers that I have seen in several brick and mortar bookstores–but remember, there are brick and mortar bookstores here that are thriving.

What I need to figure out is where the marketplace is. Is Amazon.nl already a player? I know that bol.com is already selling digital books so the question remains are people using it and on which readers are they reading?

When I figure it out, I’ll be that much more prepared to help American (and others) enter the Dutch (and European) book markets.
