When you travel, do you open your eyes?
Traveling opens your eyes.
I suppose it’s possible to keep your eyes closed when you travel, but it must be so hard.
So much to see, experience, and watch.
When I travel, I just plain see more. I don’t quite know how it works, but my eyes are open wider and take in more. I see things I “normally” wouldn’t see.
So what’s the difference? When I’m traveling and when I’m not?
Am I more aware? More awake? More observant?
Yes, yes, and yes.
But why? Are we dulled down by our everyday existence? Do have blinders on day to day? Do they open up, blossom when we travel? How can we widen our view during our non-holiday periods?
Or should we just live as if we’re … always on holiday?
Life begins (or at least it accelerates) beyond your comfort zone. The travel experience is new, undisturbed, and fresh to the mind…exciting new brain neurons, and painting new memories. Everything should be this unfamiliar and demanding mental awareness. -slj-
Aha, maybe this is the goal: “Everything should be this unfamiliar and demanding mental awareness.”
Love it, Sam!
