This is not news: “Traffic on the 405/101 interchange this morning.”

This is not news: “Traffic on the 405/101 interchange this morning.”

Is it ever not that?

Helicopters in the morning fly overhead to either:

  1. Capture yet another Los Angeles freeway car chase on a live feed,
  2. Cover the latest wildfire,
  3. Watch the traffic creep along the 405 freeway.

Maybe now that I live in a small town (where a helicopter flying overhead is a big deal), I feel that a chopper up above must mean big news. But here’s the big news: there’s traffic on the freeway.

This is Los Angeles. There’s always traffic on the freeway.

Forecast for tomorrow? Daylight.

Maybe I just don’t really care about making a detour. Or wonder if it’s worth it. No, I don’t care. Go sit in it, it will eventually move, and you’ll be on your (maybe-not-so-merry) way.

Maybe I need to Step Away from the Boxes and get out more.

Welcome to Los Angeles here. There’s traffic here. All the time. Big news.
