Parenting and the balance of what you want to do and what they want to do
What might they remember in 20 years? And you?
Sure, it’s fun, but I’m not a huge fan of motorized “toys” (e.g. jet skis, quad bikes, etc.).
But for my 15-year-old, it might be the height of our trip.
Let’s put this in perspective. I have a driver’s license (even a motorcycle license), I have ridden quads and jet skis. It’s just not my thing.
But we’re not talking about what “my thing” is. We’re talking about a 15-year-old boy.
What’s his thing?
Motors. Speed. Not really supposed to ride under the age of 16.
That’s what he likes.
Yep, it was expensive.
Yes, it was fun. (I had fun, too.)
Will he remember it?
Oh yeah.
Is there a balance to find?
Absolutely.
