Can you create an ad for your book … before you write it?

Can you create an ad for your book … before you write it?

So you want to write a book.

Does anyone want to read it?

Want to find out?

What if you wrote ads for your book before you wrote your book? What would write in the ads? What would you be offering or promising or at least suggesting?

I find that writing ads for books I haven’t written yet an excellent (and often difficult) way to learn what it is you’re trying to say.

If you can sell it to yourself, you can sell it to a reader.

If you can sell it to a reader, you can write it.
