Spot your book in the wild

Kinda like a leopard in a tree but then less dangerous.
This is potentially a tough one–but can be super fun and secretly rewarding.
Ask readers to send you photos of them with your book “in the wild.”
Just out and about. Maybe somewhere that’s easy to recognize. Or not. Or just them with a smile or a wink or something that gives away a little of the flavor or your book.
Or you can fake it.
Here’s a mockup from a website that does website mockups from your book cover.
Kinda cool, right?
Kinda easier than having that woman (1) get the photo done, (2) send it to me, (3) yeah, #1.
But it works.
It’s fun.
Not quite as authentic.
But it’s a conversation starter.
