Whew! What a collection. So let’s see, looks like:

  1. Strong, clear, (usually) large close-up image of main character(s).
  2. Blues and greens!
  3. Title easily readable on the thumbnail.
  4. Mostly females on the cover.
  5. Dual scene: close-up shot (usually of character) with faded/blurred background of setting/location.
  6. Contrasts of light and dark colors.
  7. Many seem to have a logo/branding/symbol of some kind. Or at least an “item” (weapon, sword, etc.).
  8. 9 of 10 in Kindle Unlimited (not a cover comment, but yeah, interesting!).
  9. Most (all?) part of a series.
  10. No one is smiling. 😉

Whew. OK, there we have it. I need a new cover. I’m going to make this first draft myself. Yeah, so here we go. Based on this, we’ll see how far I get … this afternoon when I upload it.

I know, I know, I really shouldn’t be doing this.
