Not me, but us. Not I, but we.

Not me, but us. Not I, but we.

I’m going to help you write books in 2019. Oh, and you’re going to help me.

Dare I say that the experience of writing Spark has, ahem, sparked a new way of writing.

Spark started out about me and my sons. But as I interviewed other families, their stories became the center of the story–of the stories.

It’s pretty simple but here’s the core of my strategy for 2019: tell stories.

Tell stories of those who haven’t been heard.

Tell stories of those who think their stories aren’t worthy.

Tell stories of those who would like to be heard, but don’t know how or why or when or if.

Tell the stories of those whose stories should be heard because they will motivate, inspire, and lead us towards where we’re heading–whether we knew it at the outset or not.

Tell stories to open floodgates.

Tell stories to crack open armor.

Tell stories to see what happens.

Tell stories that otherwise might not have been told.

That’s my plan for 2019. Join me?
