Pick up the phone. Step out of the house. Make the connection.
I spent an hour on the phone with an old friend and fellow author and book marketer.
We talked about at least 27 topics. We could have created 42 PowerPoint slides to cover everything we talked about.
We even each said things that surprised ourselves.
Because we had a conversation.
Not a monologue, a dialogue.
I picked up the phone.
We could have scheduled a meeting.
Email would have been fine.
“Let’s talk when we see each other.”
“Or how about now?”
Back and forth. Jumping topics. Interrupting. New ideas. Old ideas. Fresh. Rehashed. Killed. Reborn ideas.
But it doesn’t happen on your own.
- Pick up the phone.
- Step out of the house.
- Make the connection.
