This is what happens when you don’t take ESD.
This entry is part 14 of 36 in the series Every Single Day

You thought you could hide.

Let’s have a brief look at the dangers of not adhering to the Every Single Day mindset.

Quick, list three things you do Every Single Day!

Me:

  1. Write
  2. Meditate
  3. Learn

Those were under pressure off the top of my head. What are yours?

Feeling a little stuck?

Feeling a little stuck?

Quick, how about three you’d like to add to your ESD arsenal?

  1. Marketing
  2. Recording
  3. Play

Again, these are off the cuff, I’m-not-even-sure-what-they-mean, spontaneous. What are areas that you’d like to work on?

This comes about as some projects are not getting finished. Namely:

  1. Going through the edits of Kite Hill (and uploading new version).
  2. Recording audiobook of Kite Hill (this is stuck because of #1).
  3. Dutch and German translations of Kite Hill (this is out of my hands as others are working on it–or not).

#1 is the bottleneck and it is in my hands. But that’s just it, it’s not in my hands. If it were in my hands, that would mean that I’m working on it.

Every Single Day can mean a single minute per day. If I worked just one minute (ridiculous, right?) on going through the editor’s edits, I would be, each day, closer to being done. But since I work zero minutes per day, each day I’m not closer to finishing.

See how simple the math is?

0 + anything = anything
1 + anything = something
