With my upcoming book “Create” I’m seeing more and more related topics.
Tim Ferriss was talking with Derek Sivers and talking about offense and defense.
It was one of those moments when “my” idea was explained through someone else’s words and it:
- Hammered it home for me.
- Gave me another way to explain it.
- Deepened my understanding of where I’m going with it.
With Create, I want people to express, let it out, set it free, make, do, create.
The offense and defense metaphor is an excellent one. It’s going on offense before you need the defense. In fact, maybe if you’re on offense, you don’t need the defense, or at least need less of it.
It’s a choice. It’s up to you what side you want to play.
Or at least how much of which side.
